Sounds of freedom

Tonight, fireworks are exploding all over Knox County, Tennessee, in widespread acts of civil disobedience.

As John Adams said,

"It ought to be commemorated, as the Day of Deliverance by solemn Acts of Devotion to God Almighty. It ought to be solemnized with Pomp and Parade, with Shews, Games, Sports, Guns, Bells, Bonfires and Illuminations (fireworks) from one End of this Continent to the other from this Time forward forever more."

Its time for Knox County Commission to repeal their Nanny State ban on fireworks!

Peoples' Republik of Kolorado

Today marks the beginning of the grand socialist disarmament scheme in Kolorado. Don't get caught there with a magazine with a capacity greater than (or readily convertible to greater than) fifteen rounds. You could do 11/29 as a guest of the state, or at the very least, have an expensive legal battle.

For more information, check my Examiner Column HERE.

For greater detail, check in with Michael Bane, who is behind the lines HERE.

Watching grass grow

Readers may have noticed my page on Tennessee Lawn Grass, and wondered about getting started with such a project. Well just go ahead and do it once and for all.

We were blessed beyond measure with a new home last fall, and I have been itching to start a Zoysia lawn at the new domicile.

A few weeks ago, I planted seed, after aerating the yard. I also bought a few pieces of sod from Mayo's Garden Center. Here are pix I took today. Click to enlarge:

Note the runner (stolon) in the middle of the picture.

Many small seedlings mixed with weeds. By year 3, most weeds are choked out.

Note red runner in the middle of the picture.

Another group of seedlings.
We have been blessed with abundant rain recently, saving some watering expense.

Nanny Cam catches savage home invasion

Some people don't want you to have a gun. They would rather you get this poor lady's treatment, because your being armed doesn't fit their agenda.

Be warned, this is a brutally violent video.

New York News | NYC Breaking News

New Jersey, where this happened, is one of the most difficult states to legally own a gun in.

Clean before my Lord

Today as I was bathing my pup,

I got to thinking about the future of believers. Just as he doesn't look forward to a bath, we don't relish the idea of dying; but look forward to the other side. He is so happy when he comes out of the water. We, likewise, will be unbelievably joyful after we pass over. That will be a joyful day, and we will stand clean before our Lord.

Progressive schizoprenia

Progressives tell us a woman should have the right to choose (to kill her baby). They put a nice spin on it, denying the humanity of the unborn. On the critter scale, they would put the unborn child1 somewhere below the level of baby seals, puppy dogs, and tadpoles. I guess they still hold to the dis-proven "ontogeny recapitulates phylogeny" theory.

But they angrily deny that a woman should have the right to her weapon of choice to ward off attacks from college rapists, or other nefarious ne'er-do-wells. No choice for her to use a 30 round magazine against a home invasion.

NOTE TO GRANDPARENTS: Don't let the left set the vocabulary. Refuse to say, "I am going to have a grandchild." You already have one. She just hasn't been born yet.

Whaddya think?
